We began July with Hannah's trip to Korea. She went with a group from her Taekwondo school and she had a great time. I missed her a lot, but was glad she had the opportunity to go.
That small lady behind her is trying to push her into the water.
She said that as they toured this place, a couple of kids were practicing their English on her. She kept running into them so at one point she asked if she could take a picture with them. As soon as they said yes, she said all these other kids came out of nowhere crowding into the picture!
This was at a folk village where she practiced beating fabric with a stick how they used to "iron" things.
At one place Hannah just happened to "run into" two people she knew! What are the chances? These were two masters who had visited her school, and had no idea their group was going to be there at that time!
Glad to be back home again!
Handing out souvenirs and presents from the trip.
Hoodies for the boys.
Widsar gets the kids to pamper her. They gave her a massage, fanned her with a cloth, and gave her the full treatment. It was hilarious.
And she paid them back by giving them all pedicures, even the boys.
One morning I came upon the kids playing like this. They told me they were playing "Cowboys and Ninjas" bawhaha!
My ninjas girls.
Found a snake in the yard. Impromptu nature lesson.
Our study of the United Kingdom included creating a mini Stone Henge out of stones made from sand dough.
And another Baker birthday! Isaac is now eight years old!
He wanted a penguin cake, but the big difference with this cake over all our past cakes is....
CANAAN made the cake!!
And his gift from us was a new bike! He was really happy. He had worked so hard to finally ride a bike, but has been riding an old purple princess bike of Maggie's. Now he has a real boy bike!
In the continuing debate on hair, I had to take a picture of Kiki's hair after Widsar had taken all the braids and twists out and was getting ready to do it again. I think it looks adorable!
And this is my favorite look for Widsar's hair. Adorable too!
My sister's family (minus one) came to visit us for a couple of days from Canada! It was short, but a really good time spent together. Here Jessica is playing the guitar and they are singing some songs for us. These girls have amazing voices!!
One afternoon Maggie and Eden played dress up with them. Here they are dressing up Marilyn.
Then they dressed up my sister and her husband, who were amazingly good sports about it all!
They had them "go on a date".
Eating spaghetti a la Lady and the Tramp style.
Then they told them that they were getting married.
Eden was the flower girl / ring bearer.
Maggie performed the ceremony and preached a nice little sermon about marriage.
My sister and me. :-)
Family picture. :-)
